The Lotus Fountain

The Lotus Fountain has been located in the heart of the Europa Center, directly under the glass dome, since 1982 and, together with Tiffany's terrace café, forms a quiet oasis in the middle of the busy retail environment of the Europa Center.

Large, abstract replicas of leaves give off a sense of light playfulness thanks to their wavy forms and look highly modern, even today, thanks to their material.

The fountain, designed by the French artists Bernard and Francois Baschet, was originally commissioned in 1975 for the stairway area at Berlin National Gallery. However, in 1982 was given to the newly refurbished forum of the Europa Center and now stands permanently at the foot of the terrace café in a water basin.

A walkway crosses the fountain so that visitors can fully enjoy the fine details and composition of the water ripples.
